Sourced from a small grassland off of CA Route 99, Once an Expanse meditates on the division and diminishing of native meadows and grasslands (particularly in the San Joaquin and surrounding counties). Showing either a trail through a field or a border that divides the land in half, the work alludes to parcels of land, what once was, and our ecological trajectory.
